ALW… “Tradition means to hand on to the next generation all that is valuable, but it does not mean shackling them to the past with style or method.” It has been a great privilege for me to live through over sixty years of constant change. I’ve experienced first hand war and peace, moderate means, and blessings beyond my early day expectations. I remember sweating through hot summer nights and having our 1st air conditioner. My life has been much different than my ancestors and I am thankful that I was allowed to plow my own field. I’m sure you have memories that take you on nostalgic flights as well, But remember this, your nostalgia is not the same as your parents or grandparents nostalgia.
