AMAZING GRACE! Jesus bore our tainted image in order to give us his perfect image which is the express image of the invisible God. Initially God created man in his own image and likeness. It says, So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. ~Gen1:26&27 But due to one mans disobedience (Adam), the whole entire human race lost the image of God.(Rom5:18) Sin came in and depraved man off the glorious image of God and therefore man could no longer have fellowship with his maker as there before. It was a heart breaking to both God and man: The sweet union they both enjoyed was no longer there for sin had left a very great damage.The law couldnt fix it due to the weakness of our flesh. We were all left in dire need of a Savior who liberate us and restore us to God. THANK GOD JESUS CAME: For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. ~Rom8:3-4 The only One who had the perfect image of God had to take our bad look in order for us to have his good look: He bore our image so we could have his. It says, God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. ~2Cor5:21 Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high. As many were astonished at thee; his visage was so marred more than the sons of men. Isa52:14 This and much more is what he had undergo due for bearing our image; We are the one who deserved all this. Our image would bring him the most painful and shameful thing, which is separation from his Father, a union that had always been very intact. My God, My God, why Has thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning? ~ Psalm 22:1 It was his most painful moment when the Father turned away from him due to our sins. Who has believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he has no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted... [He bore it all for us, but we esteemed him smitten by God; We wrongly judged that God was punishing him for mistakes he had done] ...But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities:the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. ~Isa53:1-5 Today, his greatest joy is that he made us have his image; He gave us the right to be sons of God also if we only believe in him and he is not ashamed to call us brothers. For just as through one mans (Adam) offense we all lost the glorious image of God; So also by one Mans(Jesus) obedience we all are made righteous.(Rom5:19) May Glory, and praise, and honour be unto him now and forever more, for he has made us new!
