AN AFTERNOON WITH… MONDAY 17 MARCH @ 2PM – ANDREA BUCK , DEE McLACHLAN & DANIELLE MATTHEWS - Chapel Off Chapel - chapeloffchapel.au An Afternoon With… is a great way to enjoy a Monday afternoon. Meet an outstanding selection of special guests as they discuss their lives with host ROBERT CHUTER. ANDREA BUCK – (FILM PRODUCER/WRITER) Andrea Buck been working in film and TV for over two decades in production, development, marketing and distribution. She produced her first film – Deadly Chase – in 1991, then a few years later was the principal producer on Running Wild with Brooke Shields and Martin Sheen, coordinating the shoot between South Africa, Kenya and Los Angeles. After spending 12 years working overseas, in 2000 she returned home to Melbourne. Her experience both in life and in film has been broad and varied and gives you a keen understanding of story and the entire process of filmmaking. In 2007 she produced and was instrumental in the marketing and distribution of The Jammed, and more recently Who Wants To Be A Terrorist. DEE McLACHLAN – (FILM DIRECTOR/PRODUCER) Dee McLachlan has made films all over the globe – from the Masai Mara in Kenya to downtown LA, from the ice cap of Patagonia to the jungles of Sri Lanka. After directing and producing over 20 hours of drama and documentaries in South Africa, she made her first feature, Scavengers. McLachlan has won several awards globally including: Solo Ascent, Born Wild and Silent Hunter (Gold Award at the New York International Film Festival 1986). Two of my her six feature films have been released theatrically in the USA and directed the The Second Jungle Book. Dee McLachlan was also the writer, producer and director of the movie The Jammed which was hailed by the likes of David Stratton as “The Best Australian film of 2007”. McLachlan is also writes and publishes children’s books. DANIELLE MATTHEWS (MUSICAL THEATRE PERFORMER) Danielle Matthews is a Graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts and the inaugural winner of the prestigious Rob Guest Endowment Award. Since winning the Rob Guest Endowment in 2009, Danielle continues to work closely with ANZ Trustees having launched with them her first EP Fantasy in 2011 and most recently working alongside them for the Loreal Melbourne Fashion Festival and singing for the opening of the National Designer Awards. Danielle Matthews has spent the past two years performing and touring with acclaimed opera singer and TV personality Jonathan Welch(Choir of Hard Knocks) and has just returned with him from Uganda where she coached, performed with the African Children’s Choir and children from the poorest slums. Whilst over there She collaborated with a fabulous Ugandan pop singer and has just re released her Original song Free performed in English and Lugandan for African TV and radio. Danielle has just finished recording her debut classical album Dream Song with Move Records Australia, which will be released in November. Danielle Matthews is very excited to be working with Manilla Street Produtions and Chapel Off Chapel in March 2014 for her Where Do I Begin? – The Voice Of Shirley Bassey.
