AN investigation has been launched after an allegation of rape on a woman in Brierley. The incident was reported at around 2.40am on Thursday on Church Street. Police want to speak to anyone with information about the alleged incident or who believes they may have witnessed or heard anything. Officers were not prepared to release any further information about the victim or circumstances. They should call 101 quoting incident number 121 of July 18.
