ANAMBRA FAILED ELECTION AND THE ISSUE OF DISENFRANCHISEMENT: I - TopicsExpress

ANAMBRA FAILED ELECTION AND THE ISSUE OF DISENFRANCHISEMENT: I hear that PDP governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Dayo Adeyeye, said that the APC lacks the moral right to complain if voters are disenfranchised in any election in the country. He said that APC must first surrender Osun and Ekiti states that it got through disenfranchisement of thousands of voters, before its complaints on the Anambra State election can be taken seriously. Am tired of hearing people say that because APC, or PDP previously benefited from disenfranchisement at one the other time, then we should not ask question on APGAs unfair advantage because of shameful disenfranchisement of thousands of voters by INEC in just concluded Anambra election. What Nigeria need is objective criticism, not if this party, zone, ethnic, religion, etc, did this before, we have right to do this now. Then, when will things get right in this country??? This is same myopic comments I hear from supporters of Aviation Minister Oduah. Their only position is that other corrupt officials from other ethnicity must be punished first, before Oduah is touched. Which means, the circle goes on and on, without any solution. This is very deplorable and childish thinking, and such thinking denotes doom for any country. Is that the type of country we want to live in? Nigeria can develop only when people see things objectively, no matter which zone, party, ethnic, religion is concerned. For me, bad is bad, no matter where the offender comes from!!
