ANCYL Limpopo supports Cde Stanley Mathabatha to be the next Provincial Chairperson of the ANC To: All media houses Date: 28 November 2013 The appointment of Premier Stan Mathabatha as the Premier of Limpopo Province, and subsequently the leadership collective, 5 months ago, has gone a long way in creating stability in the administration in the province , and in particular the province. This sterling work in dealing with corruption, and providing direction in leadership of the provincial administration, has seen significant improvement in how the province has moved from a “corrupt” province to a province dedicated to increased stakeholder involvement and commitment in providing better services to the people of Limpopo, reaffirming our commitment that working together we can do more. Anchored by unquestionable academic and political credentials, and a worth of experience gathered in several deployments at different capacities, there is no doubt that the current Premier, together with collective ANC leaders deployed in government, has what it takes to take the ANC and ANC led government, to new heights, where the lives of citizens of Limpopo shall improve to more better and better ones. It is the view of the African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL), that the ANC in the province has long been missing the calibre of the leadership that Cde Stan Mathabatha possess, and it is therefore on this basis that the ANCYL would want to rally and call upon its members and structures of the Mass Democratic Movement (MDM) to support Cde Stan Mathabatha towards the leadership of the ANC and that of the provincial government, in order to defend and consolidate the gains that has been made so far by leadership collective in government , as led by him, for a better Limpopo. As branches of the ANC prepare for the provincial conference, the ANCYL will continue to engage the leadership of the ANC in regions and branches to consolidate the entire collective, and to advocate for the consideration of generational transition for youth leaders , and women affirmation that will lead the ANC , affirming our long standing position.
