AND GOD REGRETTED! 5 The LORD saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. 6 The LORD regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. 7 So the LORD said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found favour in the eyes of the LORD. (Genesis 6: 5 - 8). The first time I read this Bible verse I was surprised. I asked myself; “how can God possibly regret of anything He has done? Isn’t He God anymore? But the Spirit led me to the very basis of the matter. He said; “My son, how does your father feel anytime you fail a subject he expects you to pass easily? He becomes disappointed, very sad and unhappy. He refuses to give me anything I ask for” I said. Then I realized how I have been a disappointment to God. Knowing the truth yet doing the wrong. Where He expects me to stand, I feebly fall and where He expects me to be a blessing, I become a reproach to Him. Bible says that God saw the wickedness of man and He REGRETTED that He made man. God regretted creating man because He trusts us so much, He created us in His image and likeness and so He expects us to be just like Him. All God requires of us is to RISE UP AGAIN anytime we fall (Proverbs 24:16) but we make our fall the bed in which we lie. We decide to sup with the devil in his bowl of sin than to sip from God’s cup of FORGIVENESS! I admit that I am the worse of sinners and that I have been a disappointment to God in the little tests that He expects me to pass easily and I know you have issues too. But our God is a God of second chance. He is fixing His Rainbow of love in the skies today to tell you that He still loves you despite your numerous sins. Just confess to Him today and tell Him to take control. The last time I checked, man’s misuse of his FREE WILL caused God to regret ever creating the most cherished of His creations. Learn to surrender your will to God today, better still, ask God to teach you to conform your will to His. God bless you!
