AND THE WINNER IS..... Thank you ALL for your comments on my Win a DVD Course postings on Sept 1st and Sept 4th! The power of video, in giving all of us the skills to be better therapists, is undeniable. I heard from students, therapists, therapists supervising students and faculty ~ and ALL of your comments were incredibly helpful! In fact, choosing only one winner was impossible...so Ive chosen 3, based on the two criteria Id listed: 1. Changes you have observed in your handling 2. Improvements you have observed in your patients GABRIELLE HARTMAN learned scapular mobilization and proper bed positioning which led to significant improvements observed in her patient with shoulder pain. TANYA FEDDERN-BECKAN improved her observation & problem-solving skills, along with facilitation techniques during functional activities which led to changes in her patients feeling of empowerment and changes in function. CHERYLYNN KRUCZEK HORN utilizes a progression of handling skills beginning with bed mobility, followed by self-care and dressing and continuing through transfer training. She observed changes not only in her patients but ALSO with the families, as she passed along these simple (but practical) techniques.
