ANGELS PROTECTED ME YESTERDAY! – A wonderful miracle! Hi – Yesterday - I traveled over 200 miles (round trip) to preach the gospel. It was raining and cold – the rain apparently froze on the highway - I was traveling down a 4 lane highway with a deep gully in between. - On a curve I hit a patch of solid ice and lost total control of my vehicle. It was all over the road this way and that way -- I prayed as Ive learned to pray claiming Gods exceeding great and precious promises see 2 Peter 1:4; Steps to Christ, chapter 6 and Education, chapter 30. - I prayed and claimed the promise in Matthew 7:7 Ask and it shall be given, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened. Jesus heard my prayer and sent angels to bring me to a safe landing at the bottom of the muddy gully between the two lanes going west and the two lanes going east. (Psalm 34:7) Now I had another problem - My tires were shooting mud high up into the air but I could travel no further in the mud. I tried rocking the car back and forth. Cars stopped along the highway to see this spectacle of a trapped vehicle shooting mud up into the air. I had been traveling west but could make no headway getting back on the highway going west so I gunned my engine in reverse until my rear end was almost on the top of the east bound lanes. I could go no further so I took the plunge down the bank in an effort to climb up the sides of the ditch toward the west bound lanes. God was with me and I was able to just make it up the side of the ditch back into the west bound lanes. WOW! -- MUD COVERED MY CAR and I had to pull over to wipe some of the mud off the windows so I could drive safely. I could have died. My vehicle could have been destroyed. I could have missed my appointment to preach the gospel. I could have needed a wrecker to pull me out - but no - God got me there safely and on time -- though my vehicle way extremely muddy - and still is - for now. - The author of The Great Controversy -- E. G. White writes, “How to exercise faith should be made very plain. To every promise of God there are conditions. If we are willing to do His will, all His strength is ours. Whatever gift He promises, is in the promise itself. The seed is the word of God. Luke 8:11. As surely as the oak is in the acorn, so surely is the gift of God in His promise. The results will be stupendous – just as the squirrel who buries the acorns doesn’t realize he is doing anything “stupendous” – but look at the results 150 foot tall oak trees with millions of more acorns. The author, E.G. White writes, The Great Controversy should be very widely circulated. It contains the story of the past, the present, and the future. In its outline of the closing scenes of this earths history, it bears a powerful testimony in behalf of the truth. I am more anxious to see a wide circulation for this book than for any others I have written; for in The Great Controversy, the last message of warning to the world is given more distinctly than in any of my other books.--Letter 281, 1905. {CM 127.1} The author, E.G. White writes, The book The Great Controversy, I appreciate above silver or gold, and I greatly desire that it shall come before the people. While writing the manuscript of The Great Controversy, I was often conscious of the presence of the angels of God. And many times the scenes about which I was writing were presented to me anew in visions of the night, so that they were fresh and vivid in my mind.--Letter 56, 1911. {CM 128.3} E.G. White also writes, The results of the circulation of this book [The Great Controversy] are not to be judged by what now appears. By reading it, some souls will be aroused, and will have courage to unite themselves at once with those who keep the commandments of God. But a much larger number who read it will not take their position until they see the very events taking place that are foretold in it. The fulfillment of some of the predictions will inspire faith that others also will come to pass, and when the earth is lightened with the glory of the Lord, in the closing work, many souls will take their position on the commandments of God as the result of this agency.--Manuscript 31, 1890. {CM 128.4} I will look forward to having you as an eternal friend – You will sit with Christ upon His throne as part of His royal government that governs the universe of billions of blazing suns and inhabited worlds (Hebrews 1:2; Revelation 3:21) You will have invited others to also become part of the government of God and to live in the capital city of the entire universe!! You will have a home on Planet Earth. (Isaiah 65:21-25; Matthew 5:5) You will build and plant and eat and learn and travel throughout the entire universe as speeds you cannot even now comprehend (Luke 20:36) - You will be equal with the angels who also are part of God’s government. The Apostle Paul writes, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9. – In other words, you cannot even imagine how excitingly wonderful it will be to never have any more sorrow. John writes in the book of Revelation “I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Rev 21:1-4.
