ANGELS THAT SERVE “The heavens declare the glory of God” (Psalm 19:1). Yes, the heavenly realm, the realm of the angels, where the Almighty reigns, giving them commands concerning the administration of the entire creation, tells us what God is like in His omnipotence. It tells about the throne of God, exalted above all worlds. From there the perfect rule of God goes forth into the entire universe. How deeply comforting is the knowledge that in the end times when the elements such as fire, water and nuclear energy are let loose, it is the angels who have control of these forces! When through the agency of His angels the Lord unleashes the elements, turning them into destructive forces, His own will experience miracles. The angels will command the elements not to cause any harm to those who truly love and fear God. Protecting, judging, battling, and supervising every service rendered by these thousands of angels to nations, individuals and the kingdom of God, however awe-inspiring, pale in comparison with the dealings of God. The ministry of angels is but a dim reflection of the way God watches over everything and how His heart throbs with love and sorrow for us, the nations and His creation in the fervent desire to help us.
