And then tax cuts for the wealthy get thrown in, and a pile of budget cuts that help no one in any material fashion, all in order to reduce a massive deficit, the sources of which began in our overseas adventures over a decade ago, and which ran up and up until we started chipping, and chipping is the right word, away at it, while trying to keep from killing off our most needy fellow countrymen in the process. But were dealing with an angry mob of very noisy and well-off white men who clearly think that those Americans would be better off dead. Dont talk to me about illegal immigrants as being the problem - theyre not. Dont talk to me about how America coddles its poor - it doesnt. Dont hang the sins of a handful of bad actors over the entire Welfare and Medicare/Medicaid systems - the vast majority of recipients are in the programs honestly and do not game them. Talk to me about how were doomed as a nation, not for the reasons the white guys would have you believe, but because theyre only in it for the money. They dont love America. Once theyre done plundering it, theyll move on - leaving but a husk of a nation populated by the 300 million unfortunate enough to not be wealthy.
