ANNOUNCEMENT FROM SOUTHWEST AIRLINES Baggage Embargo to Mexico City and Montego Bay December 16 - January 16, 2015 Southwest Airlines is taking proactive measures to ensure that, during the busy holiday travel season, we have adequate space for each Customer to check two standard sized bags. Southwest Airlines has determined that it is necessary to implement a temporary embargo on Customers attempting to check more than 2 bags, or an oversized bag, over 62 linear inches. This only applies to Customers traveling to Mexico City MEX and Montego Bay MBJ on December 16, 2014 to January 16, 2015. Southwest will NOT accept any excess baggage or bags over 62 linear inches during this period. All other standard baggage rules apply.
