Hello Friends: I don’t even know how to begin writing this and what to say. It is with great sadness that I must inform you that as of October 20th. PAWS for LOVE Prayer Group will be closing. Our last Sunday prayer agreement will be October 19th. I cannot begin to tell how much your friendship has meant to me and many others. Many of us come to this group every single day. We have shared the most horrific abuse to innocent victims. We have prayed together, cried together and thank goodness even laughed together. I have learned so much from you. You have opened my eyes to something I was never aware of. And that is the dark world of animal cruelty. I have always had my precious dogs in my life, but just didn’t think about what went on beyond my little bubble. When starting this prayer group, I thought it would be praying for little angels and their memory from illness and some abuse. Never did I realize the enormous need of support and change that needs to be made, until now. I am proud to know we have made a difference too many of the animals we have prayed over. Even, if the difference was just caring enough to pray for their health, their safety, and bringing justice to the abusers. However small the prayer need was, we as a group cared enough to CARE. We honored their NAME. We made their life matter in this world when many did not have a family to love them, only abuse them. As hard as it is to see what they have been thru, we cared to take them in to our hearts. Each and every one of these angels MATTERED TO US! Every day you came here to honor a little life that meant something! That is what brings me to tears; the innocent and your compassion for them. And for that I truly deeply respect your hearts. The dedication and passion many of you have has burned a flame inside me to also do whatever I can to make a bit of difference. The mountain is high to climb in this society of taming the “ugly beast” that can harm such beauty that our Lord has created. If we could only learn from the animals, we could be such better human beings. As some of you already know, my husband Dennis has some health issues. He is living with chronic lung and heart disease with a thoracic aneurysm (aorta), and has also had brain trauma from an auto accident. He is doing well under these conditions. It has now come time for me to take a step back and concentrate on him and our family life. I will still be involve somehow in making my own little difference as I know you all will to.
