ANNOUNCEMENT In an emergency meeting of the Executive Committee of the Pakistan Economic Reform Party (PERP) held today, it was decided that the party has decided to fully support the movements of PTI and PAT. We ask all our members, supporters and friends to provide all support and help to the movements. The 3 deciding factors for this were: 1) Even after over 2 weeks of unrest in the country, the PM and his few close aides are acting as فرعون . We feel that the PM is acting not just like a King, but as GOD.This shows total arrogance, lack of maturity and greed for power. They do not deserve to lead our beloved nation. 2) The massacre of the people and then showing no remorse (regret), was an undemocratic, unconstitutional and وحشيانا (barbaric) act. As the movements spread to other cities, (particularly in Punjab), we fear the govt. will react with even more force. We value the life of every Pakistani. 3) The economic condition of Pakistan had started worsening even before the movements started. The Finance Minister is relying only on foreign loans بيرونی قرضے to survive. In 12 months it has gone up by nearly 25%. This is making the country a slave to the lenders and donors. Our party has provided an alternate economic plan to the govt., but they are too proud to think that any one else can have a solution and they can not. May Allah guide us all.
