ANNOUNCEMENT: On Thursday August 14, 2014 at 6pm I will be holding a meeting for ALL players that want to play this Fall. This meeting will cover a lot of information as to how it will work. To play Fall Ball dedication and commitment is a MUST! Here is the criteria to play: 1. Practices are MANDATORY and will be held on Saturdays from 9am-12pm(if rained out, will move to Sunday afternoon from 2pm-5pm). 2. If a player misses more than 3 practices for anything other than school related activity, illness, or death in family, that player will be released from the team and no longer be able to play on team. I do expect a written verification or verbal communication from parent as to why you miss practice. 3. There will be a cost of $60.00 to play and will be due at first practice in September. Please feel free to discuss options with me if you cannot have it at that time. This cost will cover 2 jerseys, socks, sanctioning fees, and insurance. Players MUST provide black pants, which many of you already have. 4. We will play between up to 4 tournaments during the Fall Season. At least 1 per month. Each tournament will cost about $375.00(maybe more maybe less, just depending on the location). I will discuss the options we have in coming up with this fee at the meeting. 5. Tournaments may be played in any of the following(just depends on availability): Lake City, Crystal River, Alachua, Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Valdosta, GA, or Bainbridge, GA. There is another tournament I am very interested in being held in Birmingham, AL. Its the Fall World Series and is 11/7-11/9. If we decided to do this we will have to do some Major fundraising or get serious sponsorships. 6. This Fall Ball program is geared towards you learning the game more, grow as players, maintain what you already know, develop new skills, get prepared for the Spring school/Little League season, and most of all have FUN! Its your commitment and dedication that makes you successful as a ball player and in life, I am only here to give you, and teach you, the tools necessary to reach that level of success you desire. The game of softball is just that--a game, but it is also a game of life. Sportsmanship, Courage, Commitment, Teamwork, and FUN! You cannot have success without these things in the game or in life!
