ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING.......TUESDAY JULY 30th 2013, Crosville Club, Deganwy NOTICES OF MOTIONS SUBMITED The following notice of motions have been submitted in regards to the formatting of the league for the 2013/14 Winter and Summer league seasons, to be discussed at the annual general meeting to be held on TUESDAY JULY 30th at the Crosville Club, Deganwy at 8 pm. The following notices of motions have been submitted by the required closing date of July 2nd NOTICE OF MOTION No 1 ...............proposed by L Ellis (Penrhyn Arms ‘A’) If a team fails to attend a league fixture, that the next time they are due to play the team affected, that the future match fixture is reversed. Ensuring that venue affected does not lose any income and requires the team that did not travel in the first place still to make the journey. NOTICE OF MOTION No 2.................proposed by L Ellis (Penrhyn Arms ‘A’) That the league holds a competition, which is NOT divisional, but open to all league registered members in order to find an appropiate Llandudno League Individual winner. NOTICE OF MOTION No 3..............proposed by L Ellis (Penrhyn Arms ‘A’) That when an away team turns up short and invokes the rule of allowing two players to play twice, that the current method of wherby the home team captain choosing the two weakest players from the away team, (which is insulting to the players selected), that this practice be discontinued and be replaced with a blind draw. NOTICE OF MOTION No 4.................proposed by R Williams (RAOB ‘A’) That both the current formats of singles and doubles and 7 man team, excludes the potential for any drawn matches to take place. The proposal is that a three man team event take place at the end of the normal matches, this would be a blind draw to see which players take part. The playing format would be one leg of 1001 for those players that played 501 and best of three legs for those that played “Round the Board”. A final reminder to all interested teams wishing to join our 2013/14 winter league season, that the league will be accepting team fees must be submitted in person at the annual general meeting, to avoid the situation that has arisen in the past causing considerable inconvenience, team applications will now be accepted with your team fee of £65.00, players application and £4.00 reg fee are allowed time for team captains to form a team ,but they must be submitted by September 3rd As the kind sponsorships are due for renewal at the AGM, the league is deeply appreciative of the loyal and dedicated support of our sponsors who so kindly assist us in keeping our popular indoor sport within our member’s pockets in these difficult days. We will again be approaching our sponsors to enquire if they are kindly sponsoring us again over the coming 2013/14 winter and 2014 summer league season, in the meantime any member or business body who would like to support our league, are asked to kindly contact the league secretary or any committee member, ROBERT WILLIAMS HON ASSISTANT SECRETARY July 2013
