ANOTHER DAY ANOTHER PREMIERE.... WOW. Life is so incredible. Ive known I was a writer since I was 4 years old and a dramatist since I was 7. I knew I would - that I must - tell stories on stage and film, through pictures, word, song and movement, I knew that the world was calling and that I must answer. But if youd told me that I would get to join forces with the mighty Stonewall and all the beautiful, brilliant people I work with in the passionate collective pursuit of equality and freedom for all; that I would connect artists and audiences from the age of 7 years old to 70 and older - and that our family message - shared from Holloway to Hollywood - would be that everyone belongs in this world and has the right to be themselves and be Free... that cinemas and schools and colleges and generous strangers around the world would show these films and share these stories... I would never have thought it possible. Yet each day I wake up and find that the concept of what is possible is once again changed. And each day my my personal calling is revealed to me and our collective journey becomes clearer. My tiny but mighty part in this world becomes obvious, and my destiny becomes inescapable. Inside my skin Im still seven years old, excited by the extraordinary infinite possibilities that pulse within everyone, that beat within me, driving me onward, wide-eyed and breathless at all there is to come and all there is left to do. In my heart Im still a child. Stumblingly graceful, hungry and grateful and learning to appreciate my oddness and celebrate everyone else. The world is my playground and I am here to make new friends with everyone. And anything is possible with love. And I am surrounded by love. Filled with love, fueled by love. Saved by love. Defined by love. Standing up for love. Thank you for teaching me who I am. Thank you for teaching me to love. Thank you for being my friend.
