ANOTHER GIANT STEP FOR MANKIND, ROSETTA BROBE IN OBIT WITH COMET- 10yrs journey and a triumph for space exploration! One would ask what the relationship with a space probe and a piece of broken stone? The answer is in the name ROSETTA. The Rosetta Stone is a granodiorite stele inscribed with a decree issued at Memphis in 196 BC on behalf of King Ptolemy V. The decree appears in three scripts: the upper text is Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, the middle portion Demotic script, and the lowest Ancient Greek. Because it presents essentially the same text in all three scripts (with some minor differences among them), it provided the key to the modern understanding of Egyptian hieroglyphs. As the first Ancient Egyptian bilingual text recovered in modern times, the Rosetta Stone aroused widespread public interest with its potential to decipher this hitherto untranslated ancient language. That is the vast possibility the Rosetta Probe brings to space exploration in our time. Another vista in understanding the universe in which our planet Earth rotates! It is believed that a collision between the Earth & a sizable comet led to the extinction of the Dinosaurs and the fact that history always repeats itself,scientist has always wanted to understand comets to know how to avert any collisions with the earth in the future. This successful 10yrs journey by the Rosetta probe to orbit with a comet is not only an achievement of the European Space Agency,but another giant step for mankind in space!
