Akufo Ado’s camp said they have paid ¢600.000 GH cedis to the NPP Headquarters to organize the election. Sir John is insisting that Nana Akufo-Addo has given monies to 150 constituencies. But the General Secretary of the NPP party also made it clear that he has not received any money from any of the 3 Aspirants but the former General Secretary, Sir John is insisting that Nana Akufo-Addo has given monies to 150 constituencies. The National Treasurer of the NPP, Abankwah Yeboah also denied knowledge of the financial support from Nana Akufo-Addo. “I am not aware that Nana Addo has given any such money…National Headquarters has provided the security to be able to get the work done and also provide a place where the declaration will be done. To the best of my knowledge, they [national headquarters] have been able to provide all the financial support to get all these done” he said. Whereas the party leadership wants to instill discipline into the party Nana Akufo-Addo and his cohorts are undermining them. But it will cost him dearly should he be mistakenly elected flagbearer tomorrow.
