ANOTHER UPDATE ON THE DOLPHIN DRIVE HUNTS IN TAIJI, JAPAN - 2 OCTOBER 2014 Heres the video from the SSCS CGs of the two captured Pilot whales. What a far cry from being out in the open ocean where cetaceans can get to live their lives to the fullest while engaging in all kinds of activities to make their lives quite interesting! Looking at the man-made structures - that is, sea pens with some algae hanging from the sides - makes me feel a bit queasy! I cannot help but wonder if captured dolphins ever experienced the feeling of being claustrophobic from being stuck in cramped quarters. LAURICE
