ANUBIS (A1023866) ****BLACK BEAUTY LOOKING FOR A HOME, SECOND TIME ON LIST, WONT GET A THIRD**** A volunteer writes: Ready to play? Anubis is! This gorgeous hunk of a boy is energetic, playful, tail waggy friendly and happy to make new friends. Beautifully groomed, the perfect weight for his size, his eyes sparkle at the prospect of an outing. Likely housetrained he went as soon as we were out the door, and off we go to the park. His leash manners are good, until he decides its time to play tug of war with the leash. Hell release it with a treat, but does need to learn that the leash is not a toy. Perhaps his former owner thought this might be a fun game. Often a simple switch to a metal leash solves the problem. Anubis loves toys, thrilled to run free in the backyard pen, tossing a toy around, able to amuse himself endlessly. When the toy squeaked he looked around startled wondering where that sound came from - so cute! Posing for pictures, sitting when asked to and taking treats gently are all part of our time together, and Anubis settles quickly when he needs to. When he needed a rest he lay down with his head on or near his toy, and I promised him he could take it back to his kennel (and he did!) Young, handsome and full of life, Anubis is looking for an active person or family to adopt him.
