ANY IDEAS? I failed on the fishing front AGAIN yesterday but found a (not very good) fragment of bone. I dont think its a rib unless its a bit that was joined to another bone (but I am no good at ID ing what I find unless its obvious) . What you see in the pictures is 100% bone material, there is no sediment attached. Its thicker than my middle finger and whats left is quite well preserved not sea worn. I think that the right hand side of the fragment (photo 2) was joined to something bigger. The underside of the fragment, (photo 4) looks like the whole underside has sheared off from something. Not a very good specimen as I said but any ideas?
