AO Research Institute Davos – Activity Report 2013 In 2013 the AO Research Institute Davos (ARI) maintained an excellent production of focused (musculoskeletal trauma clinical problems) preclinical research data. The scientific results were published in top journals (46 papers with an average impact factor of 2.58) within the field and presented at the leading international society congresses (70 presentations with a 97% acceptance rate). The ARI maintained its excellent results in extramural funding acquisition (CHF 2.4 million) from national and international funding sources along with maintaining its AAALAC accreditation status and ISO accreditation status. The ARI hosted 10 medical and 2 non-medical Research Fellowships in 2013. ARI Research Fellowships are an excellent possibility to strengthen the AO network, with many of the leading surgeons in our network having performed a Research Fellowship in Davos at the beginning of their careers.
