Atiku Abubakar, a politician and businessman who served as Nigeria’s Vice President for eight years, has just declared his ambition to vie for the presidential seat in 2015. Mr. Atiku, who was once a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, and, briefly, the Action Congress, has defected to the All Progressives Congress party platform. According to Mr. Atiku, “the PDP had done nothing to attract any vote from the NORTHERN region.” He mentioned unresolved terrorism issues, poverty, unemployment and overall “failure of leadership,” among other reasons. IF AM ASKED --------------- “If Atiku is an equation, the PDP can and will indeed solve him in no time. He is only re-seeking relevance because he knows that he is already obsolete!” “Who is Atiku? A former VP who was entrusted with the responsibility to privatize of governmental establishments. What did he do there? He stole and also worked to own most shares thhereby impoverishing the entire country. The work done by GEJ had not been done by any past administration in Nigeria. Take the development in the Education sector. Look at schools built by this administration for the Almajaris. Look at road networks in the Northern Nigeria states, as well as ongoing works to reanimate the railway system. Great improvement in the power sector.
