APC is considering a Muslim/Muslim Presidential Ticket. They are settling on the choice of Mohammed Buhari and Bola Tinubu Joint ticket. APC has been described as the first Islamic party in Nigeria, and seen as a replica of the banned Muslim Brotherhood party in Egypt, which their government linked to terror activities. El-Rufai believes that it is not a problem in a country so politically charged and religiously divided as Nigeria...Hear him.... Politics and governance are not to be mixed or dictated to by any religion,” - Mr. El-Rufai. That statement would have made complete sense if we are talking about the United States or any other sane country, but it seems some of these mallams who are lucky to become the poor Nigerian masses leaders are so out of tune with the times, do not give a rats behind concerning their so-called supporters/masses, or both. On the contrary, Mr Fani-Kayode disagrees with them, he says... “I have said it privately in countless political meetings and I will say it publicly today. Please mark it – the biggest mistake that my party, the APC, can make is to field a Muslim/Muslim ticket in the 2015 Presidential election...If we do that, we will not only offend the Christian community, but we will also lose the election woefully. Our party must have both a Christian and a Muslim on the ticket if we want to be taken seriously in the Presidential election. I implore those who think otherwise to sit down and think this through properly.” I agree with Mr Fani-Kayode but of course I am glad that Hell- Rufai will want to exercise his loud mouth by disagreeing with everything that showcases common sense. And secretly, I pray the APC as a whole disagrees with Mr Fani-Kayodes postulations. Who the gods want to kill, they first make mad..mon sense is not so common after all...
