APCSD demands Rijiju resignation on India- China map issue “If tomorrow Arunachal will come under Chinese territory, nobody can say, I am a Nyishi, I am Galo, I am Adi, etc.” The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Seva Dal (APCSD) is demanding an unconditional apology from the BJP led NDA Government on the issue of showing Arunachal Pradesh and Aksai Chin of Jammu Kashmir in a map as dotted line disputed territory while signing three MoU between the Gujarat Government and the Chinese President, Xi Jinping. Speaking to media persons, APCSD Chief Organizer, Kipa Kaha said, “Arunachal Pradesh has not been declared as disputed land since 1962 but the Gujarat Government through its additional Chief Secretary, D J Pandian has declared that Arunachal Pradesh is a disputed land. This is very unfortunate and shameful.” “The additional chief secretary Gujarat Government who held a press conference in Ahmedabad during the Chinese President’s visit to India, announced the contents of the three MoU, distributed the handout along with the map,” APCSD statement said. “We are very concern about the state, we are the citizen of India, Arunachal Pradesh is a part of India,” Kaha further asserted. Meanwhile, the APCSD has questioned the Minister of State, Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju on his absence during the incident. Kaha said, “Where was he during the Chinese President’s visit to India? He should give a clarification regarding this. Being an MP of Arunachal Pradesh, being a citizen of India, he is responsible for the State. He should gracefully resign from the ministry if he feels that he is an Arunachalee and an Indian.” “Not even one statement has come out from the state BJP party till today. Is there any difference between Gujarat BJP and Arunachal BJP? The State BJP people are not citizens of Arunachal Pradesh? This a very serious concern if tomorrow Arunachal will come in the Chinese territory, nobody can say, I am a Nyishi, I am Galo, I am Adi, etc.” Kaha further added. “Before, Chinese Government shows Arunachal Pradesh in dotted line but now Indian Government is doing the same. Why have we been treated like this? Because Arunachal Pradesh is being run by the Congress Government? This is not acceptable in any case,” APCSD spokesperson Geli Ete said. APCSD has also highlighted the incident “We demand the resignation of Kiren Rijiju if he doesn’t initiate the central government to ask for apology and correct the map immediately. Besides, cancellation of all the MoU signed between Gujarat Government and Chinese Government. If all these demands are not fulfil within 30th September, we will resort to democratic movement with the central Government. We will organise mass protest rally with burning effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Kiren Rijiju. We are very serious with this issue,” Ete further asserted. During the press conference, APCSD has also highlighted the incident of the North-easterners working in Hyatt hotel, being asked to leave until further notice issued by the Gujarat Government.
