APGA crisis: Reconciliation is between Umeh and Obi, not all –Maxi Okwu Categories: National Mirror Online Tweet •Writes INEC for certified true copies of documents The Maxi-Okwu-led All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) yesterday said that his group was ready to compromise and sheathe their sword for the sake of APGA winning the forthcoming local government and governorship elections, whenever the Chief Victor Umeh-led group is ready for true reconciliation. Speaking to Saturday Mirror in an exclusive interview yesterday, Barr. Maxi Okwu said that his group would be part of any reasonable move that would make APGA win Anambra State. He however warned that it would be counterproductive if the Umeh’s group decided to ignore other group. His words: “We are ready for reconciliation and that is why we set up a reconciliation committee on June 10. We also declared three week of truce to allow for peace to prevail. The reconciliation is between Umeh and Obi, it does not carry my APGA along. I concede to those who are participants to the Anambra Monday show but we are not part of it and we cannot be ignored. So, we are moving to enforce our rights. “We stand on the April 8 national convention, a fact which has been confirmed by High Court and a Court of Appeal. So we can’t wish it away. But the interest of the party supercedes that and that is that we must win Anambra State elections. We are ready to compromise but that compromise must be based on honour and respect. That is the minimum condition.
