APPARENTLY SOME PEOPLE WANTED MY FANFIC SO HERE DONT KILL ME ITS SO BAD LMAO AND ITS RIVETRA Petra stared up at the sky. A few rays of sun peeked through the treetops and illuminated everything in the huge forest. She could just faintly recall being on an expedition. Was is the 57th? She couldn’t quite remember, not like it mattered anyways, it was such a beautiful day. Birds chirped overhead and she strained to turn her head towards the noise. But it was no use. With her eyes just starting to adjust again she realized she was awkwardly leaning against a tree, but why was there blood? ‘Is this a dream?’ she thought now desperately trying to move. Her whole body was limp and she couldnt even begin to move anything other than her eyes. They flicked up and down, a bloodstained tree and the sun filtering through the leaves were all she could see. Was this her blood? Her eyes strained to see to her left, and her insides turned when she saw the rest of her squad laying motionless. Finally coming to her senses about what happened, she wanted to cry and scream but all that came out was a gurgled ‘oh no’. Was she to die alone here as well? Was this her destined fate? Everyone around her was dead and she couldn’t even move to avenge them. But, it was such a beautiful day. Blood trickled out of her mouth and nose. She could feel it coming up her throat and dripping down her throat. If she wasn’t moved from that position soon she would choke to death. Her short quick breaths were becoming shallower and shallower as well. Knowing it was the end she called out for the only person in all of humanity that could save everyone. Levi. Was he going to come on time? Or was he going to have to look at her cold, lifeless body and realize he couldn’t save any of them. A few moments later the infamous whizzing of the 3DMG gear neared her and someone swiftly came to her side. ‘Levi’ she choked again, more blood spraying onto the tree and dripping down her chin. She could feel the life being sucked out of her. But her body was moving now, not at her own will of course. He gently placed one arm under her legs and the other to support her neck and head. He lifted her gently, in fear he would move her the wrong way and end her life short. Right between her shoulder blades her back was bent in an unnatural position, it was warped and twisted. But, it was such a beautiful day. “I’m dying aren’t I?” she wheezed trying to meet the captains eyes. He wouldn’t look at her face. Maybe it was that he couldn’t look at her face. He just stared straight forward. “Yes.” he finally said, voice not wavering from its usual stoic-ness, “You’re paralyzed from the neck down, you cannot feel how broken your body is.” “Is everyone else gone too? Do you think they went peacefully?” She asked. Levi let out a small laugh, which was odd for him. She couldn’t see his face since it was covered by the shadows and she kept her eyes towards the blue sky. But out of the corner of her eye, she saw a single tear drop off his chin. Her words broke him inside. Even in her time of leaving the earth she still had the compassion and kindness to worry about others. How could of he not saved her? How come he came after it was too late? “Oh Petra, please do not fret about them, you need to focus on yourself now.” this time his voice wavered. She looked at him for the last time, her amber eyes were the only thing left with life in them. “But, it’s such a beautiful day.”
