Attn: Florida Voters!! Please vote NO on any amendments offered to SB 1126 or HB 955, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Bill. The last minute, ill-conceived proposal to allow anchoring restrictions in most Florida counties will destroy years of work by the FWC and the responsible boating community. Please protect the Anchoring and Mooring Pilot program and reject any amendments on the FWC bills. Boating and the freedom to enjoy Florida waterways without restriction is paramount to sustaining two of our states most important industries...the tourism and our marine trades. Counties should not be given any authority to govern and control where boaters can anchor their craft....this anchoring freedom is integral to the Florida boating lifestyle, and a paramount to the continued economic impact of these combined industries. Dont take this freedom away by allowing local counties to legislate. Please vote NO to these amendments to SB 1126 and HB 955.
