APPEAL: Did you witness a collision in Cannock yesterday lunchtime (Monday 10 March)? The collision happened at around 1.50pm near Asda in Avon Road when a silver Vauxhall Meriva was in a collision with a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a 21-year-old woman, suffered head injuries and was taken by air ambulance to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire for treatment. She remains in hospital in a stable condition and her injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The road remained closed until around 5.45pm while specially trained officers carried out an examination at the scene.
