APPEAL FOR INFORMATION: We are appealing for information from the public about a report of a dog allegedly being “glassed”. The complaint was received just after 8pm last night and it was reported that a man used a bottle to hit a black and white dog, similar to a kelpie, and then walked off leaving the dog in a car with the windows up. It was reported that this occurred in a car park on the Esplanade near the Seacliff Surf Life Saving Club. The complainant checked on the dog’s welfare and reported blood on the dog and in the car. They thought the animal may have a broken leg. We would like to speak to the driver of a white Holden Cruze wagon, which was not there when the RSPCA and police arrived. We are treating this as a serious report and are asking for the reporter to contact us again. We have serious concerns about the dog’s welfare. If anyone has information that could assist RSPCA Animal Welfare Inspectors with their investigation, please contact us on 1300 4 777 22. Callers will remain anonymous.
