APPEAL: Help us identify these people who may hold vital information about a serious assault. We have today released CCTV stills of a group of people detectives want to speak, who may hold vital information regarding a serious assault in Hanley in the early hours of Saturday 11 January. The 26-year-old who was injured in the assault, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, suffered a serious arm injury and was taken to hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged. It is believed he and a friend were involved in an altercation prior to the assault. We are keen to speak to four people captured on CCTV around the time of the incident as they may hold vital information. We want to hear from anyone with any information, however insignificant it may seem.
