APPEAL: Were you in High Street in Talke Pits on Wednesday evening? At 7:40pm on Wednesday 22 January, a male went into the K W Chinese Food Takeaway in High Street, Talke Pits, scaled the counter and entered the kitchen. He was holding a brown handled kitchen knife and demanded cash. He also discharged some form of small smoke bomb. The man working at the takeaway chased off the offender who left empty handed. He was wearing black jogging type bottoms, semi padded black jacket with hood, black gloves and a scarf pulled up over his face, and believed to be aged in his teens. Anyone who saw the offender or can offer any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 640 of 22 January.
