Freight cars lie scattered down the embankment from the railroad tracks to the bottom of the culvert in Corbetts Glen. Some of the cars have been reduced to fragments. In May, 1918, seventeen cars of an east-bound New York Central fast freight train jumped the track while crossing a culvert over Allens Creek in Corbetts Glen. No one was injured.
