APPLAUD is a new initiative taken to tackle the disruptive behavior most common around the rugby pitch. As a youth MP,I support these steps towards a more productive and progressive attitude towards the game,but their needs to be further improvements. We need to take a long look at the emphasis schools take on this sport, we need to educate children and parents that "it is a game" and that we need to keep our heads around the fact that "The Mans Way" is no longer a perspective we have on this game. I do not think that slapping a ban on the game will help anyone, we need to implicate precautions that stop incidents like this from ever happening again. I also do not agree that threats and abuse will solve anything, and we must respect the memory of a friend and a brother. We should remember the memory of Stephen. The boy that was kind,humble and above all, a true friend.
