APPLE CREEK, OH: Today was a very beautiful, sunny, and breezy day, a good day to do laundry. I attended the kidney reunion at my sisters place Junior and Susie Mae Troyers. We sisters helped with dinner. Around 130 attended. Also 4 heart transplant couples attended. The 51 gathering at David Swartzentrubers was a very enjoyable day, with 47 ladies present. I was disappointed, though, that I still havent found a birthday twin. -Min. Paul Mark Mullets SUGARCREEK, OH: The likes of a little twister must have made its presence known as our sale had a sparse attendance at first but ended up being fair-sized with fair to excellent prices. Hubby took a tumble the 14th and dislocated his shoulder. Hes on the mend, but carries his arm in a sling. Hes doing much better and was even in the garden Tues., pulling weeds (against most of our advice). Sister Mel Mullet Amandas days are not all the same. Days she feels very good and some not so good. -Perry and Judy Beachy MCVEYTOWN, PA: The shower we received this evening was a great blessing! Eddie Plank had an appointment last week to get his heart shocked back into rhythm, which was successful. The purple martins have thinned out a lot. There are still some here overnights, but all the young have now fledged. It sure seems quieter without their chatter. The end of summer is starting to approach. -Martha Anne Swartzentruber PYRAMID FARMS: Old man Johnson got an offer of $45,000 for his for his buggy when he went to the antique road show to find a butter churn but kindly refused stating its the Lords day today, a day of rest, and I ought to be home in time for dinner. -Christ & Christine Carters
