APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTIVE MANAGER, SA OLIVE The South African Olive Industry Association (SA Olive) would like to welcome Vittoria Jooste as the new Executive Manager. Vittoria was born in France, educated in Italy and is a naturalised South African citizen. She comes from an unrelated industry, having spent fifteen years in corporate mining where she progressed from the technical and R&D field to the management of teams, projects and business units. Vittoria also worked for a leading executive search firm, where she refined her industry analysis and business development skills. Aside from an independent perspective and a healthy dose of energy and drive, Vittoria brings to the role some relevant experience in stakeholder management, regulatory processes, consumer confidence and transformation. From her present base in Johannesburg, Vittoria will focus on liaising closely with the relevant entities that are instrumental to the continued growth of the olive industry. She will travel regularly to meet with industry members and other stakeholders as required. Of her appointment, Vittoria says she is “very excited about the challenge and humbled by the magnitude of the task”.
