APS crews recently changed out a string of insulators that had flashed over on a 500kV line in Northern Arizona. While it may sound like just another day on the job, this was anything but: there was a 3,350-foot span of wire between the two towers, the third-longest span on the APS system. And did we mention the tower was perched near the edge of a 3,000-foot bluff? If you have a fear of heights, this video could make you sweat!
