APSA-Hyderabad organised a meeting with media persons, with aim of aware about child rights and protection acts, laws and programs among media persons, and ensure the ethics in publish the news related children. Mrs. M Sumithra, Member, State Child Protection Committee, participated and addressed on the issues and efforts of the Media in highlighting several cases about protection related, Mr. Chandra Shekar, President, Hyderabad district journalist, he extended support on behalf of journalist, specially who are working with communities to address the child rights protection and also ensure the nature of working with child friendly basis, Mr. Rajendra Prasad, Convener, MV Foundation, talked about the proposed modifications in the Act of Juvenal Justice towards cut of the age children definition. finally, Mr. Srinivas Reddy, APSA told that, the need of media role in child protection. the out come of this meeting was that, to establish network with government departments, organisations who working on child rights, and the media to work effectively on child protection issues.
