ARENA FAIR THEATER, Delaware OH The final two auditions for Jesus Christ Superstar are this Sunday and Monday Sept 21 and 22 (see attachment). We need as many of you as possible to come and audition! The more the better! We would love for all of you to audition!! Here are the Audition Details: (Flyer is attached) Singing Audition: The director would prefer you sing a song from the show. If you dont know one, you may certainly bring your own music. An amazing accompanist is provided. Dance Audition: There will be a short dance audition after the singing audition. Chorus Dance - Most of the shows dance is tame. There is one chorus dance number (Simon Zealots) that is uptempo. Casting: NO roles are pre-cast!!! We do not play favorites. We also blind-cast. For example, a woman could play Judas. We are open! Aside from the main roles, there are 4 female dance roles called the Devilettes. They must have a dance background and/or be able to pick up intricate steps. We will likely have our own rehearsals with just the 4 of us. The Devilettes are background dancers to Judas, the evil beings making him do the bad things he does. Dances include Damned for all time/Blood Money, Judass Death, Trial By Pilate (39 Lashes - youll be doing the lashing with whips), and Jesus Christ Superstar. These roles will also be in the chorus dance for Simon Zealot with featured dance solos and solis!! Performances: Thurs, Fri & Sat November 13-15 at 7:30 pm Sat matinee performance at 12:30 pm Music Rehearsals: There will only be 2 per weeknight until we get closer to the show. The nights will be chosen based upon talent availability. They will be at Delawares First Baptist Church off of Center St. Dance Rehearsals: Will be Saturdays late morning/early afternoon and Sunday 4-7 as need at the Delaware YMCA.
