ARSENAL MUST SPEND BIG ON QUINTERO Arsenal were linked with a £16m bid for Colombia whizzkid Juan Quintero on Thursday evening, but reports on Friday claim the Gunners will have to spend a heck of a lot more than that to sign the youngster. According to the playmakers agent, Porto are yet to receive any offers for Quintero, who recently returned from playing at the World Cup. Said Ricardo Calleri: Porto never talked to negotiate Juan Quintero. There are clubs interested, there is much interest in the player, the clubs in Spain and England, but to leave would be one willing to pay the termination clause of the club. The Daily Express report that Quinteros buy-out clause is around £32m, with Arsene Wenger expected to look elsewhere unless an initial loan can be arranged.
