June 13 Jonesborough, Tenn. – Jonesborough Open Juried Art Show – See prestigious art featuring 69 pieces selected from 152 original submittals 5-8 p.m. at the McKinney Center. June 14 Memphis, Tenn. – Sleep Out on the Mississippi – Sleep under the stars next to Ole Man River with dinner, live entertainment, a campfire with marshmallows and breakfast at the Mud Island River Park. Just bring a sleeping bag. Advanced reservations are required. Memphis, Tenn. – Dinosaur Dinner with Dad – Enjoy dinosaur tales, a gigantic dinosaur dig with prizes and have a dino-sized meal 6-8 p.m. at The Children’s Museum of Memphis. Tickets are $25. Nashville, Tenn. – “Sensuous Steel: Art Deco Automobiles” – Browse this exhibition of luxurious autos from the 1930s and 40s in the Ingram Gallery at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts. Tickets are $7. June 15 Bell Buckle, Tenn. – RC-Moon Pie Festival – Get ready for one of the best pairings in Southern history: RC Cola and a Moon Pie at the 18th annual festival. A parade, bluegrass music, dancing and more will be featured. Franklin, Tenn. – Juneteenth Celebration – Bring a lawn chairs and blankets to relax and enjoy an afternoon of great music, food and games 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The McLemore House Museum. The theme this year is “A Celebration of Freedom Through a Legacy of Faith.” Golden Pond, Tenn. – Land Between The Lakes 50th Anniversary Celebration – Honor the occasion with cake, a video debut, a meet-and-greet with Smokey Bear, an eagle encounter, stories, a canoe trip and more 10 a.m. at the Golden Pond Visitor Center. Nashville, Tenn. – “Tchaikovsky Extravaganza!” – Nashville Symphony pays tribute to one of Russia’s greatest composer with stunning music like the “Romeo and Juliet Overture-Fantasy,” Suite No. 4 “Mozartiana” and Piano Concerto No. 1 8 p.m. at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
