ARTIST STATEMENT Today we have an increasing desire to connect to others organically because the internet and technology can isolate us and ultimately disconnect us in a way that is devoid of human interaction, touch, and feelings. My work hopes to capture something deeper and connect to people on an intimate level, one that is revealing and speaks with honesty about the human body and soul. I like to capture the essence of a person and sometimes tell a story that evokes the past but puts my subject into the present moment. I am a storyteller of people through light and composition. I am lucky to share with others their stories and tell it through my own eyes. That is my art.
