ARTISTS BACKGROUND: Monique Rorke graduated from Rhodes University with a degree in Journalism and Media Studies. This was followed by an honours degree in Sociology at the University of Port Elizabeth. She lectured Sociology at the University of Transkei and Vista University, Port Elizabeth. Monique registered for a Fine Art degree at UNISA where she worked in drawing, painting, mixed media and art theory. She has completed a number of courses through the local university and has exhibited on many group and invited curated shows in the Port Elizabeth area. Her work is in local and international collections.
