CRUZ THE DAILY TRIBUNE, JULY 12, 2014 tribune.net.ph/life-style/nothing-will-stop-the-music-with-deezer JULY 12. 4 p.m. A national painting contest about the life of St. Camillus de Lellis will be held at Our Lady of La Paz Parish, Archimedes Street in Makati City in celebration of his 400th death anniversary. The theme of said competition will the extraordinary life of St. Camillus, his red cross symbol and why he is the saint for the sick, hospital and health workers. On July 13, At 11 a.m., the winners of the Life of Dr. Jose Rizal in Europe International Painting Contest will be announced and awarded at the Mabuhay Restop, Rizal Park, Manila. Said competition was pre-judged in December 2013 and out of hundreds of entries, 10 finalists for the professional and six from student category were selected. At 3 p.m., the Visual Artists of Paranaque will have its first exhibit entitled Bagong Sibol in cooperation with SM City and Parañaque City Tourism Office at SM City BF Parañaque Atrium Hall. Headed by its founder Janndie Castilo and co-founder Nelson Castillo, known as the “Father of Philippine Miniature Paintings,” the exhibit runs until Aug. 2.
