ARVIN Hello all. I spoke with Dep. Joe Moses again on Monday. I didnt post anything because I thought it seemed obvious there were no results from the weekends efforts with dogs. I thought I ought to pass on to you, though, that the Sheriffs Dept. is still working on getting a meeting happening in Big Sur, that will allow interested parties to come and talk about the search and hear first hand what has been done. Joe said they had not done so yet as concentration was on the search itself. As that slowed down they have had a lot of considerations before being able to make the meeting happen. I shared with Joe that I think the community will appreciate it, and perhaps better come to grips with all that has happened so far. He agreed and thanked me for the input. Im sure if/when thats happening, the Sheriffs Dept. will make it known to us. A couple of facts he shared with me: the search has been among the more extensive ones in our county, with approximately 190 on-the-ground searchers putting in approximately 4000 person-hours, in addition to 100 +/- hours of air search.
