AS ILLUSION CLASHES WITH BIGOTRY: Where Marxists Stand It may surprise one to see a Marxist indicating interest in who becomes the campaign director of GEJ/PDP. But the circumstances today call for such interest. Our job really is unmasking bourgeois tricks/traps for an eventual socialist reconstruction of the society. I have read in several individual walls and groups how people wonder why FFK for that job? Let me go down memory lane. Months back, this guy was seen unleashing his bigotry gadgets on his victims mercilessly and with great pleasure. A sadist, one would think. He wrote a certain article on Igbos residing in Lagos which he made available on his Facebook wall. I could remember a lot of comments trooping in at that time. A certain Hausa lady, very smart one indeed, said something that really got/caught my attention immediately even from my hiding. This lady was trying to draw attention that people should understand that FFK is like an entrepreneur surveying markets for his new idea (service). She described him as a smart job seeker, one desperately struggling to establish a profitable carrier come 2015. The lady concluded that FFK has to be what hes to maintain relevance in the scheme of things. She believed he will be useful for those looking for his service in what she described as a heterogeneous society like Nigeria where his kind of service is both dangerous and sadly marketable. Today, there should be less surprise as to his choice for that job. But first of all, where does Marxists really come in, here? As struggle for power and wealth continued to be more intense among the two sections of the bourgeois mainstream politics/parties, the following should help us with some answers. The real struggle is no doubt between the bourgeois as a class and oppressed masses (another class) on the other side. While the oppressed struggles to break out of the cage, the bourgeois continued to get split day after day. A sort of pre revolutionary period character. Here, the two bourgeois camps of APC and PDP each have a weapon for their job. While the APC capitalises on the ILLUSION people have in Buhari (in fact, their dominant hope) to win the 2015 electioneering, the PDP on the other hand is not left behind. Her (PDP) weapon no doubt is in its ability to exploit and amplify ethic and religious bigotry. Given the nature of things today, the last resort for the ruling PDP is to manipulate the masses along ethnic and religious lines. The best way, if not the only, to douse the Buhari siren enjoy by APC section of the same bourgeois is to go on an ethic/religious onslaught. With this, one would see why the likes of FFK must be brought on board for the job to be excellently done. So, as we often warns too, that ladys prediction has finally materialized! But as Marxists, ours is never to desert these masses who built illusion in APC nor are we to let that poison of bigotry consume those under the red umbrella. We will continue to call on them to observe a strictly class line. While they must not give in to those deceitful guys trying to exploit Buharis incorruptibility just to remain relevant in the usual business, the same campaign must be waged against bigots and bigotry. This job taken by FFK must be hit with the heaviest hammer ever! Good morning to you all.
