Respondents who support the scheduled consumption tax hike from the current 5 percent to 8 percent in April 2014 and 10 percent in October 2015 rose to 43 percent from the previous 30 percent, while those who do not support the plan fell to 49 percent from the previous 58 percent, according to the survey.
