ASK JORDAN: I have a few distributors who have said they dont want to ask their family and friends about the business because they have tried so many other companies either party plan or direct sales of some kind and feel they would say Oh here she goes again... another scheme and they feel people wont take them seriously... I was wondering how you dealt with people when you joined your 11th or 12 company how did you handle that? A: Great question! In situations like this I think its best to acknowledge their concern head on. And then take it away and wait. “Listen I know you know me and you know I have been in everything under the sun. And here I go again. Youll expect me to approach you and this time I wont. In fact, I wont say a word unless you ask me. So I think this one is totally different and its going to be really big . . . but if you want more info YOULL HAVE TO COME TO ME. Then leave them alone until they cant stand it any more and then they have to ask. You’ll want to bring it up but don’t. Remain completely silent about your business no matter how bad you want to tell them. And when they ask, don’t unload on them. Give them a little. If they start to resist or give you a hard time then take it away again. Get their 100% permission to share before you do. The more you hold back the more they will want to know. Prove to them that this time is different by creating some results worth talking about!
