ASSALAM ALAYKUM WARAHMATULLAHI WABARAKATUHU. Narrated Tariq:’Abdullah said, “The best talk is Allah’s book (Qur’an),and the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad(p.b.u.h).” SAHIH BUKHARI (Volume 8 Book #73, Hadith #120) Imam Ahmad Bin Hanbal (R.A) Do not do Taqleed of scholars like: me, Malik, Shafai, Auzaai,Sauri, etc and instead take Deen from where they took it (Quran and Sunnah). (Iqaaz hum Ulu Al-Absaar, pg.113) THERE IS ONLY ONE COMMON METHOD OF OFFERING SALAAH (FOR MEN AND WOMEN).. “Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger” [Al-Qur’an 4:59] Every Muslim should strive to make his prayer like the prayer of the Prophet Muhammed (PBUH)!let us keep the madhab at a side!!! The Prophet (Sallalahu alaihi wa salaam) said:-Pray as you have seen me praying.. SAHIH BUKHARI (Volume 1 Book 11 HADITH 604) Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (P.B.U.H) said, “The IMAM is to be followed. Say the Takbir when he says it; BOW if he BOWs; if he says ‘Sami a-l-lahu Liman hamida’, say, ‘Rabbana wa-laka-l-hamd’, prostrate if he prostrates and pray sitting altogether if he prays sitting.” SAHIH BUKHARI (Volume 1 Book 12 Hadith 701) _______________________________________________________________________________________ INTENTION:- The person should make Niyah (intention), The intention is made within his mind, so the person should think about the particular obligatory, optional or Nafl prayer he intends to perform. He should not utter the words of Niyah aloud, as this is not authentic or approved by the Prophet (pbuh). Narrated ‘Umar bin Al-Khattab: I heard Allah’s Apostle saying, “The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. SAHIH BUKHARI (Volume 1 Book 01, Hadith 01). Narrated ‘Umar bin Al-Khattab: Allah’s Apostle said, “The reward of deeds depends upon the intention and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. SAHIH BUKHARI (Volume 1 Book 02, Hadith 051) SAHIH BUKHARI (Volume 3 Book 46, Hadith 706) SAHIH BUKHARI (Volume 5 Book 58, Hadith 238) QIBLAH (Direction):- ”……Turn your face in the direction of Al-Masjid- al-Haram……” (Surah Baqarah 2:144) Wherever a person is in the world, he should face towards the Kabah when he is going to pray. The Kabah is in the sacred mosque of Makkah in Saudi Arabia. Facing towards Qiblah (Kabah) is a very important condition of performance of Salat. However, if the person is in a place such as a desert, jungle, unknown strange city or a place where he does not know the direction of the Qiblah, he should try his best to find out the direction of Qiblah from others. However, if it is not possible then he should use his judgment and face in a direction which he thinks is that of Qiblah and Allah will accept his Salat. It is important to start the Salat facing the direction of Qiblah and it does not matter if his direction changes while he is praying e.g. in a ship, a train or an airplane, etc ______________________________________________________________________________________________ TAKBIR TAHRIMAH:- PROPHET MUHAMMED (P.B.U.H) USED TO RAISE HIS HANDS TILL SHOULDER SOMETIMES TILL EAR!!! The person should start his Salat saying ”Allahu Akbar” (Allah is the greatest), Rasing both of his hands to the level of his shoulders, till earlobes. TILL SHOULDER:- Narrated Muhammad bin ‘Amr bin ‘Ata’: I was sitting with some of the companions of Allah’s Apostle and we were discussing about the way of praying of the Prophet(P.B.U.H). Abu Humaid As-Saidi said, “I remember the prayer of Allah’s Apostle better than any one of you. I saw him raising both his hands up to the level of the shoulders on saying the Takbir; SAHIH BUKHARI (Volume 1 Book #12, Hadith #791) Narrated Salim bin ‘Abdullah: My father said, “Allah’s Apostle used to raise both his hands up to the level of his shoulders when opening the prayer; SAHIH BUKHARI (Volume 1 Book #12, Hadith #702) Salim narrated it on the authority of his father who reported: I saw the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) raising his hands apposite the shoulders at the time of beginning the prayer. SAHIH MUSLIM (Book #004, Hadith #0758) TILL EAR:– Malik b. Huwairith reported: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) raised his hands apposite his ears at the time of reciting the takbir (i. e. at the time of beginning the prayer). SAHIH MUSLIM (Book #004, Hadith #0762) Wa’il b. Hujr reported: He saw the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) raising his hands at the time of beginning the prayer and reciting takbir, and according to Hammam (the narrator),the hands were lifted opposite to ears. SAHIH MUSLIM (Book #004, Hadith #0792) NOTE:- TOUCHING THE EARLOBE IS BIDDAH (INNOVATION)
